Carlisle Santa Dash

Welcome to the new website devoted to the latest fundraising ideas from the team at Eden Valley Hospice.

The Carlisle Santa dash is a chance to have fun and raise money for a good cause this Christmas.

Dressed in a Santa Costume the challenge is to complete a run of about 4K and raise funds for Eden House, Cumbria's only Childrens Hospice

Why support this

Eden House was created following the success of the £1M Jigsaw Appeal to create this unique and much needed resource for Cumbria. On the day of the Dash the Children's Hospice will be one year old.

Eden House, looks after children and young adults with life limiting conditions which mean they are unlikely to live to full adulthood. We provide specialist care and support the children and families affected by these degenerating conditions.

But, this has an inevitable cost, Eden house is an integral part of Eden valley Hospice and has to find £2.3M a year to operate. Only 25% of this is provided by the NHS leaving a shortfall of around £1.8M to be funded through the continuing generosity of companies, individuals and organisations in the area.

The Children's Hospice alone needs over £½Million to operate

We are delighted that Foresters have agreed to support this fun event.
