Well done to each and every
walker that took part in this year's Carlisle Midnight Walk and
despite the odd rain shower we had a simply fantastic night!

Our Midnight walks are very
important to our fundraising income but we also want to make it
a night to remember and turn Tescos' Car park in Carlisle into
our version of "Party in the Park" and this we certainly did.

As the party got underway
hundreds of ladies got down to do some rowing exercise as "oops
upside your head" got underway and everyone could enjoy the
music and the fun.
Hospice Mascot, "Hosspus" made
his first public appearance on stage with
CFM's
Breakfast show presenter Robbie Dee.
1,598 ladies had registered to do
the walk but only 1,430 actually turned up on the night but with
almost £130,000 pledged already we are anything but
disappointed.
We are very grateful to each and
every lady that undertook this fun challenge, the prospect of a
gentle stroll through the streets of Carlisle in the early
morning is something many ladies would not have contemplated.
Add fancy dress to the challenge and you just never know what to
expect.
Mind you neither do the revelers
on Botchergate - what do they do when 1.500 ladies are seen
approaching from the east!
Our next Midnight Walk takes
place in Penrith on Friday 4 September and we hope the weather
this time will be kind, especially as we have a plan for a
Guinness World record Attempt at the same time.
Meet
our special Ladies Walk DJ's - Claire and Bev. - They say
MIDNIGHT, you say WALK!
