Last year we launched our first
Ladies Midnight Memory Walk and what a success it
was.
Almost 700 ladies walked the six mile route round Carlisle
starting in torrential rain at Tesco's in Rosehill on the stroke
of midnight.Thanks to this fantastic
support we received from all who took part they raised over
£66,000 for the work of the hospice making the Midnight Walk our
most successful event in 2007!
But our 2008 Carlisle Walk is now fully
booked, with over 1,600 ladies who have signed up to support
this amazing event, but don't be disheartened.
This year we are offering supporters the
chance to join us for a second Midnight Walk but in PENRITH this
time and we are keen to make this event as much fun and as
popular as our Carlisle walk.
The walk will take place on Friday 5th
September 2008 starting at the stroke of Midnight from the
Ullswater Community College and we are looking for HUNDREDS of
LADIES to enter this amazing event.
Walk for a Reason
Whether you want to walk to remember a loved one, get fit, have
a great night out with friends or colleagues, meet new friends
amongst the many women who'll be joining you, or just support
the vital work of Eden Valley Hospice, we need you to sign up
now!
Fancy Dress
Last year many of the ladies did the walk in
fancy dress, nurses in nighties, ladies in leotards, incredible
hulks, bees, pink ladies and even fairies!
So, this year not only can you add to the fun of
the night by taking part in Fancy Dress, but we have a special
prize lined up for the lady or group who we feel has the most
novel or unusual costume!
Walk with Friends
Entry is only £10.00 per walker and every walker will receive a
special Hospice Tee-Shirt, Glow stick and refreshments for the
walk and a commemorative medal and goodie pack for every lady
who completes the walk.
Dog Friendly
Quite a few of our walkers last year brought their dog as a
chaperone for the walk, we are happy to facilitate this again
provided you keep your dog well under control and on a lead.

Sponsored Event
Our Midnight Walk is a chance for ladies to raise vital funds
for the hospice through sponsorship and we ask each walker to
raise as much as they can to support our care for people with
terminal or life-limiting illnesses. As part of this sponsorship
we ask that you pay £10 in advance sponsorship as a registration
fee to take part and then the balance of your sponsorship as
soon after the event as possible. When you register we
will send you a registration pack with all you need to get your
fundraising in-step with your walking.

Midnight Walk registration pack, within this pack you will
receive more details of the walk, a sponsorship form, some
sponsorship hints and tips, your walk number, a training
schedule for your walk and an exclusive Midnight Walk Tee-shirt
that you can customise if you wish.
